The course covered the basic principle of chemical contaminants in food and the up-to-date information about EU regulations by specialists from different regulatory agencies and companies such as the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), CIRAD and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA Thailand). In addition to lecture, participants were also given opportunity to conduct lab practice on the “Analytical Methods and Technologies for Extraction and Detection of Pesticides and Antibiotics in Foods” as well as observe the demonstration of a biosensor and a nanotechnology based diagnostic kits.

This is the 3rd collaborative workshop organized by BIOTEC, TICA and French Embassy.
