On 16 October 2009, BIOTEC and Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to extend and develop the cooperation in the field of biotechnological research and related activities.
Over the past 5 years, BIOTEC and KRIBB have entered into MOU and continued to work closely with the objective to explore scientific collaboration between researchers by bringing them to meet one another in a scientific symposium to exchange research progress in selected themes so that they can explore and initiate some joint projects of mutual interest. Since then, four joint symposiums have been organized - two in Thailand and two in Korea. Biosensor is one of the successful collaborations between the two organizations.
Dr. Jung-Sook Lee (seated, left), Director of Biological Resource Center, KRIBB and Dr. Kanyawim Kirtikara (seated, right), Executive Director of BIOTEC were a representative in MOU signing ceremony.
In conjunction with the MOU signing ceremony, BIOTEC hosted The 5th BIOTEC and KRIBB Joint Symposium on Bioresources Utilization and Management.
