Under the British Council and The Thailand Research Fund Researcher Links scheme, Rice Gene Discovery Unit, a joint lab between Kasetsart University and BIOTEC, Rice Science Center and the University of Nottingham, will be holding an International Workshop on Genetic Improvement to Reduce Photooxidative Stress in Rice on 2-5 June 2014 at Samphran Riverside, Thailand. The workshop is being coordinated by Dr. Erik Murchie (University of Nottingham) and Assoc. Prof. Apichart Vanavichit (Kasetsart University) and will have contributions from other leading researchers Prof. Zoe Wilson (Nottingham) and Prof. Poonpipope Kasemsarb (Thailand). The organizers are inviting researchers from the UK and Thailand with special interest in rice stress physiology, stress breeding, and biodiversity genetics to apply to attend this workshop.
