BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH CENTER
Founded in 2006, Biomedical Technology (BMT) Research Center is a collaborative effort between the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) and the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University. The center is a spun off research and development group from the Medical Biotechnology Research Unit. The Center aims to develop effective technologies for production of protein antigens and antibodies; as well as to develop high performance immunodiagnostic kits for several emerging diseases in Thailand. Basic research at this Center focuses on functional analysis of leukocyte surface molecules, tumor biology, thalassemia, and gene therapy. With state-of-the-art technology and facility, the Center also offers service for antigen and antibody productions.
