The National Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) with matching funds from the Target Research Unit/Network (TARUN) provided sustained core support for establishment of the proteomics core facilities initiative at BIOTEC Central Research Unit in 2002. Since 2004, the proteomics core facilities was expanded to serve as a core resource for proteomics research under BioService Unit. In 2006, Proteomics Laboratory received a construction grant from BIOTEC to renovate space on the second floor of the BIOTEC Central Research Building in Thailand Science Park, Pathumthani.
Proteomics Research Laboratory specializes in a range of platform to support various proteome-related researches from identification of single proteins to large-scale proteomic studies. The proteome analysis platform provides protein preparation, separation, characterization, identification and quantification, featured with high throughput and high-sensitivity. In addition, analysis of proteins from tissues, cells or other biological samples for studying protein post-translational modifications and protein-protein interaction are available.
