T-2 provides funding for both Basic and Applied field research. Applications are invited from researchers working in Ministry of Public Health, disease control programmes, universities, research institutions and non-governmental organizations in Thailand, for funding of small research projects related to the control of target-diseases . Priority will be given to applied field research proposals, which provide an opportunity for training junior researchers, including linkage of different institutions, and promote research capabilities building in the country. Studies for medical product development are encouraged. See some possible areas of research for more details; however, any relevant research project will be considered.
