BIOTEC has officially established an affiliation with Soon Chun Hyang University (SCH), Korea in a Memorandum of Understanding Signing ceremony held at BIOTEC on 5 January 2011. The collaboration signified cooperation between BIOTEC and SCH University for the implementation of 2011 Student Internship Program for SCH students in the field of Biotechnology.
According to this agreement, 20 students from Faculties of Science, Medical Science and Medicine of SCH will spend one month for their training at BIOTEC. Students will participated in a 5-day lecture class – a broad overview of the biotechnology field including Bioresources Diversity and Utilization, Food Biotechnology, Sensors and Diagnostics and Plant Science before moving on to get hands-on practice in research in individual labs. The program also offers the opportunities for student to visit a food-processing factory and a Biopharmaceutical cGMP Pilot Plant. These activities will provide SCH students with a well-rounded and interesting experience in Thailand.
