Description:
The seminar will showcase breakthrough innovations to combat African Swine Fever (ASF) by researchers from Thailand’s National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC). This session will highlight the latest scientific insights into the ASF virus, focusing on the recently emerging ASFV strains that pose new challenges for existing vaccines and control measures. Then, we will discuss advances in recombinant vaccine development and rapid discovery of antiviral drugs derived from both natural sources and existing pharmaceuticals. Attendees will also learn about recombinant porcine interferon-alpha 1 as potential alternative antiviral solutions for swine farm management. Discover how research excellence can provide practical tools for a more resilient and sustainable swine industry
