Dr. Kallaya<\/strong> specializes in shrimp immunology and shrimp diseases. Her expertise contributes to the advancement of knowledge, technology, and innovative solutions to solve shrimp emerging and re-emerging diseases. Her works aim to address challenges within the shrimp aquaculture industry, contributing to its development at the national, regional and global level. These issues such as Shrimp Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS<\/em>) or Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Syndrome (AHPNS), White Feces Syndrome, Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei<\/em> (EHP), White spot disease (WSD), and Infectious Hypodermal and Haematopoietic Necrosis virus (IHHNV), among others, have posed significant challenges to Thailand’s shrimp aquaculture industry.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Kallaya<\/strong> holds the second rank among Fisheries Scientists in Thailand and is recognized as the 57th in Asia. Her academic portfolio includes the publications of 93 journals, achieving an h-index of 33, amassing 4,771 citations, and being acknowledged among the top 2% of global scientists in fisheries between 2011 and 2013. She has presented over 38 research papers at both domestic and international conferences, holds 15 on-going patents with several patent applications pending, and has received 10 international awards. Notable among these awards are the L\u2019Or\u00e9al-UNESCO For Women in Science project in 2007, Newton prize (Chairman\u2019s award) in 2018, High-Potential Research Team Grants from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
