The visit aimed to strengthen connections between BIOTEC and Thai diplomatic missions abroad and to explore opportunities for expanding scientific and research collaboration between Thailand and Canada.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On this occasion, Assist. Prof. Dr. Chaowaree Adthalungrong, Executive Director of BIOTEC, delivered welcoming remarks and chaired the discussion. Dr. Wirulda Pootakham, Acting Deputy Executive Director of BIOTEC, then presented an overview of BIOTEC\u2019s research activities and strategic directions. The presentation highlighted BIOTEC\u2019s role in advancing biotechnology research and innovation to support Thailand\u2019s bioeconomy and to promote international research update on the ShrimpGuard project, a collaborative research initiative between BIOTEC\/NSTDA, led by Dr. Kallaya Sritunyalucksana-Dangtip, and national and international partners. The project is funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, and focuses on developing biotechnology-based solutions to improve shrimp health and disease management in aquaculture, contributing to more sustainable shrimp
