BIOTEC is seeking a post-doctoral researcher in the fields of Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Microbiology.
Position: Development of a yeast-based platform to produce bioactive isoprenoid compounds of significant commercial interests (the project is co-funded by a private company).
Job description:The candidate will be responsible for designing and constructing yeast strains, developing and optimizing a bioprocess, purifying and characterizing target compounds from fermentation media.
Eligibility/Specific Qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology. Expertise in molecular biology techniques (particularly in yeast systems), biochemical analysis (experience in using HPLC, GC-MS, GC-FID and NMR) and experience with bioreactors are highly desirable.
