Assistant Professor Pairoj Khawsithiwong began working at Silpakorn University since 1996 as a lecturer in the Department of Statistics. He received a scholarship from the Thai government to study in the doctoral program at Curtin University of Technology, Australia and graduated in 2006. He has expertise in statistical quality control and time series analysis focused on Kalman filter and Adaptive and Robust filters. Those research issues granted funding from the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) and Endeavor Research Fellowship Award sponsored by Australian government. In addition, he worked as an adjunct research fellow at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Curtin University of Technology. Currently, he is an assessor of the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) and of the Education Criteria for Performance excellence (EdPEx).

Assistant Professor Pairoj Khawsithiwong has started working for the administrative career in the position of department head, Department of Statistics, and deputy dean, Faculty of Science in 2010 and 2013, respectively. In 2019, he held the position of Assistant to the President for Quality Assurance in Education. Presently, he holds the position of Acting Deputy Executive Director, National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
