Industrial Bioprocess Technology Research Team

This team focuses on research and development of bioprocess technology for production of cell biomass, bio-products or functional ingredients by bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi. The up-scaled platform production of upstream and downstream processing is also a main activity to provide a solution for industrial sectors that would accelerate the technology readiness level for industrial applications, emphasizing on the utilization of microbial cells and microbial-derived bio-products in food, feed and bio-based industries.

- Production development of essential fatty acids (omega-3 & -6 fatty acids) by microbes
