Dr. Nopporn CHUTIWITOONCHAI is a newcomer, postdoctoral researcher in the Virology and Cell Technology Laboratory, National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. He received Ph.D. in Medical Science from Kumamoto University, Japan in 2012, by a support from the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship. After graduation, he started working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Viral Infectious Diseases Unit, The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, Japan, and became a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) postdoctoral fellow in 2015-2017. His study involved host-virus (Influenza virus and HIV-1) interaction and identification of a new target for anti-viral drug development.
